The only visible difference from a traditional install is that you'll be asked how much of the Windows disk space to use for Linux; the sizes can be adjusted by moving the sliders.
Root partition is the size of the file which will be used for
Linux. The amount specified here will need to be large enough
to hold the file system, applications and your
own personal data.
Swap
partition is the size of the file which will be used as virtual memory.
