Web
Servers:
Our system is a pure broadcasting
unit. But, in order to get your broadcast onto the net, you need to serve it to
the web. For this, you need a web server. A web server is a free program which
allows you to send your image.
For Windows 98 or older, we suggest
using Apache web server from www.apache.org. For Windows 2000 or later, we
suggest the Microsoft Windows 2000 Web server. Both of these programs come with
a great deal of information.
Once your web server is running, you
will have to do a small edit to your HTML file, located in the web server root.
It is shipped with the IP address of 127.0.0.1.
The easiest way to and view edit
the included HTML file is to open it with Microsoft's Notepad. Once open you
will see the following information: |
 |
The above illustration shows that the
ip address has been changed from127.0.0.1 to 208.57.185.68
Once you have changed your IP
address, use the Save As function in Notepad, and save the file as oct12.htm, or
just as it was named when it was first placed into your root folder. |
