Using corporate scheduler
Groups
Corporate scheduler allows you to define group of computers and flexible schedule
necessary actions for it. Number of groups can be created is unlimited.
Each group contain list of computers and name of the group.
Group can be added, edited or deleted
(business license
has the only one group with name 'My computer').
Each group can use its own password for remote commands.
RSHUT PRO clients of the group should be installed with the
same password or without a password in order to be able execute
actions from RSHUT PRO Server.
If the group located behind firewall or router it may be necessary to enter the group's
subnet mask so that commands from RSHUT PRO Server
can be properly routed to RSHUT PRO Clients by hardware.
Schedule action
To schedule an action for a group click 'Add ..' button and specify necessary
options for the action:
- Select a group from drop-down list.
- Choose day of the week.
You may choose one or more week days or specify whole week with 'Any' option.
- Select an action and set a time the action should be executed.
Another options are not can be used optionally:
- 'Custom message/command' - used to redefine message or command (with 'Execute' action specified).
Message is displayed to user on remote computer when an action begins to execute and you can
type here description of the action. When you schedule 'Execute' action
this field is used to enter command line to a program or a batch file that should be executed.
- 'Custom action timeout' - custom timeout delay for the action scheduled can be specified here.
- 'Date' - the action can be scheduled on a certain date or week of month to run.
- 'Onetime action' - means that the action will be executed once then disabled.
Anytime later it can be enabled via actions list.
- 'Hot-Key' - define hot-key associated with this action.
Whenever the hot-key is pressed the action will
begin (even if the action is not enabled in the scheduler).
To delete this hot-key association use DELETE key
(you can also disable hot-key on action execution).
All scheduled actions displayed in actions list.
Anytime you can enable or disable an action in the list.
Use 'Edit' button to edit or 'Remove' to delete an action.
Execute action on low CPU usage
Action can be scheduled to execute on low CPU usage (action is selected on main RSHUT PRO window).
To do this enable option 'Do action if CPU usage less than'
in scheduler and enter threshold value (in percents)
which will be used to keep track for CPU usage.
Then enter the number of minutes
that RSHUT PRO will see for low CPU usage before the action will be activated.
'Onetime action' option can be specified to turn off the schedule once it been executed.
Schedule action on process exit
Action can be scheduled to execute on a process exit.
To do this enable option 'Do action when process will exit'
and then select process name that will be tracked
(RSHUT PRO will provide full list of currently running processes).
Alternatively process name can be entered as a text (may be useful if the process is not running yet).
'Onetime action' option can be specified to turn off the schedule once it been executed.
After that RSHUT PRO will track processes list for the process and will execute action
on its exit
(action to execute is selected on main RSHUT PRO window).
Hot-key
Hot-key can be defined to quick start action selected in the main RSHUT window.
To define place cursor to hot-key field and press desired keys combination
(the hot-key will be assigned only if that combination is not assigned
yet to another hot-key).
To delete this hot-key association use DELETE key.
