Hot Help Desk

A. Introduction
Hot Help Desk is a ticket management system based on current Microsoft Technologies.

B. System Requirements
1. ASP.Net 2.0 hosting with full trust level
2. MS SQL 2005 or Ms SQL 2005 Express

C. Installation
1. Before Unzipping and Installing this product, be sure to read the License Agreement (included with this software) carefully. By using the software, you also accept and agree to the License Agreement.
2. Unzip the software to a folder on your computer's hard drive
3. Upload files to your web server. Do not change the file and folder structure. You would typically place all files in your web server's root directory, but it can also be copied to any sub-directory under the web server's root directory, as long as it is marked as an application starting point.

D. Setup
1. Modify <connectionStrings>, <system.net> and <appSettings> section in web.config base your server configuration
2. The directories ( \Temp and \TempImage) of the uploaded installation need to have read, write and delete permissions in the file system
3. If you hope to import tickets from emails through POP3, you have to access http://Your_HotHelpDesk_Url/CatchEmailsToDB.aspx every 15 minutes or less. There are several way to do it:
   (i)  If the panel of your hosting is HELM, you can add the URL to Web Scheduler and set run every 15 minutes
   (ii) You should download the Open Source WGET utility which allows you to execute a URL. You can download it from http://users.ugent.be/~bpuype/wget/
   (III) Keep http://Your_HotHelpDesk_Url/CatchEmailsKeepPageOpen.aspx  open in your browser

   Usename: Admin
   Password: Admin
3. Tech panel:http://Your_HotHelpDesk_Url/Technician
