| This release of Soccer-Sim has undergone
a few significant changes since Soccer-Sim v3.0 which was out on 25th
December 2002. I have tried my best to implement as many new features as I could in the period of
one year or so but last year I was very busy with my studies etc. I hope this version is bug free and can be considered as a complete release of Soccer-Sim. However, please note that this game is provided as is without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose which are hereby disclaimed. In no event will Sumit Chowdhury, the programmer of Soccer-Sim be liable for any special, incidental or
consequential damages resulting from possession, use or malfunction of Soccer-Sim. Sumit Chowdhury reserves the right to make improvements in this file or any other file related to Soccer-Sim and to Soccer-Sim itself at any time without any notice. This file and Soccer-Sim are herewith copyrighted. All rights are reserved. Soccer-Sim may be treated as a freeware but no part of this file or any other file related to Soccer-Sim and Soccer-Sim itself may be reproduced, translated, or reduced to any electronic medium or machine readable form without the prior written consent of Sumit Chowdhury. Anyone can make any number of copies of this game and distribute them without making any kind of profit out of Soccer-Sim. Any computer or electronics magazine publisher may provide this game on their CDs. It will be appreciated if you let me know about this but its not necessary. |

| This version of Soccer-Sim,
as always, remains completely free of any charges and you
are also relieved of any burden of registering the product. All the
features implemented so far will be available to you and no nag screens to
interfere as well. Although Soccer-Sim has been released as a freeware and
I'll try my level best to keep it a freeware, any kind of a monetary
donation or contribution on your part are always appreciated and are much
welcome. This will encourage me to keep on developing Soccer-Sim and other
software/games for many
years to come without worrying for any kind of finance or sponsorship. You
can donate any amount when and if you wish to.

| Game Features |
| All the following features are fully functional
in this release. Apart from a few features that are removed from previous
version, all the features are present and improved in this release. The
following are the new features that are implemented or changed from the
previous version of Soccer-Sim. For a detailed history of Soccer-Sim, see
the 'History.txt' file present in the main directory of Soccer-Sim.

| Installation |
| This release of Soccer-Sim requires no installation. The packaging is a simple .zip file which can be easily extracted with an utility such as Power Archiver, WinRar or WinZip. Just unzip them in any directory and run the executable. |
| Un-installation |
| No built-in uninstaller is provided with the game. If you had enough with the game and want to get rid of it as soon as possible, just delete the game directory completely. |
| System Requirements |
| This game is
intended to be very light on systems. Any average computer system will be able to run it without difficulty. However, the display should be set to
at least 800X600 at High Color to enjoy it properly. Although 600X400
resolution is supported but I can't guarantee that the whole interface
will be visible as it is not tested at that resolution. This game also requires a few Visual Basic 6 Runtime Libraries/Files which are not included. You must have them on your system for the game to function properly. If you face any problem, please download the latest VB6 Runtimes from http://www.microsoft.com/ and your problem will be solved. Also check your system for a file called 'msstdfmt.dll' which should be present in your Windows/System directory. If you face any problem regarding this and the game refuse to run, contact me at sumit4@hotpop.com and I'll try to help you out. |
| Expansion Packs |
| Soccer-Sim now
supports multiple leagues and tournaments i.e, you can run more than one league
and/or tournament at one time.
You can also run your own prediction leagues with the help of Soccer-Sim.
To do so, you'll have to create all the teams, players and stadiums from a particular league such as English Premiership or Italian Serie A
etc. in details. All that and more can be done conveniently with the help
of the editors included within the game itself. Such a pack consisting of all
teams, players and stadiums from a particular league may be termed as an
expansion pack. The expansion packs must feature all
up to date statistically correct data regarding player skills, team skills and stadium capacities among other
things that are supported by Soccer-Sim. As you may realize that I simply can't get enough time out for creating such packs for you. I am sure, whenever such packs come to scene, Soccer-Sim will become more interesting than ever. For implementing such leagues into Soccer-Sim and to make it more flexible and interesting, I'll need a few people who are interested in helping me with this. Anyone from any corner of the globe willing to do this task for free are eligible. All you need to know is all the details of a particular soccer league and the Soccer-Sim editors which are included with this version of Soccer-Sim. Just register your copy and start creating the teams and stadiums for the league you want. Next, arrange all the team files (which can be found in the 'Teams' folder), the league file (which can be found in the 'Leagues' folder), the tournament file (which can be found in the 'Tournies' directory) and the 'stadium.sim' file found in the Soccer-Sim main folder, zip them up with WinZip or any other compression software and send them to me with the league details and your own details in a text file. Rest assured, you'll be given all the credits due to you in the next release of Soccer-Sim and what's more, I'll put up your work at the official Soccer-Sim website where others can download your expansion pack and enjoy. Also, let me know if you're running any prediction leagues with Soccer-Sim or willing to run any and I'll do whatever possible to help you. This will definitely help in developing a Soccer-Sim community. |
| Testing Issues |
| If you are aware of any bug present in Soccer-Sim that are not yet fixed, inform me of that bug as soon as possible. Also, describe, how to re-create that situation when the bug shows up. Send a screenshot of the same, if possible. It will be of great help to me. |
