Installation Edition Private

The installation consists essentially:


Unlike other programs the installation steps are transparent completely. The configuration of your computer isn't change at installation of the MM3WebAssistant automatically. The installation and deinstallation are comprehensible thus completely.

  1. With decompressing the MM3WebAssistant ZIP archive you get the folder MM3-WebAssistantPrivate. We suggest to store this folder at your other programs.

    Please use for decompression a newer version of a program for this propose. In other cases the result may be not correct. Alternative you can use a simple Java-Program for this task.
  2. Requirement for use the MM3WebAssistant is a Java Virtual Machine. If these is available then the program simply can be started by clicking on MM3-WebAssistant.jar in the folder MM3-WebAssistantPrivate.
    After that MM3WebAssistant starts and a logo appears.

    If the logo doesn't appear the Virtual Java Machine isn't or not correct installed.

    Free Java Virtual Machine are offered from different manufacturers.

    If the java machine isn't installed correctly, you can use the following alternative:

    • For operating systems of Microsoft the BAT file:
      MM3-WebAssistant.bat
    • For operating system Linux and UNIX the script:
      MM3-WebAssistant.sh
    • For operating system of Apple:
      You find a description for Mac OS 9 here.
      For Mac OS X can be started by selecting of JAR archive.

    Doesn't start MM3WebAssistant with this files, the environment variable is not defined correctly in BAT or in script file. After starting with a script file successfully you can change the faulty file type assignment in the system. Now you can start the program with the file MM3-WebAssistant.jar directly.

  3. After a short introduction the license agreements are displayed to you.
    Please, confirm these with: Accept license.
    In the following you receive with the button Next the next dialog and with the button Back the precede dialog.

  4. Enter your name (or pseudonym) and your e-mail address into the form. If you wish to receive news about the MM3WebAssistant, click on register. Only if you do so your data will be transferred. We guarantee that your personal data will be used only for transmitting news about the MM3WebAssistant.

  5. Entry the proxy into browser
    Please, open the Browser now which you want to use when you are surfing with the MM3WebAssistant.

    On this browser you switch on the proxy and enter for protocol types HTTP and FTP the IP address 127.0.0.1 and port 8080.

    The required proxy configuration is illustrated by a step-by-step description. For the browser:

    Should you ever wish not to use the the MM3WebAssistant for any particular operations, just deactivate the switched-on proxy.

    Note: For Mac OS X user

    Some browsers (e.q. Safari, MS Internet Explorer) use a OS X specific implementation for the connection of a proxy. An offline use is then only possible, if the Mac is connected to a network (LAN, Hub, Switch, Router, DSL-Modem, Cable-Modem). Please, inform MM3Tools, if you know a remedying of this limitation.

    Other browsers (e.q. Mozilla) use an own implementation without this limitation.

  6. Installation test
    Please, check now the installation with the following example.


Now the installation has been completed.

If you are connected online, you can archive by browse with the MM3WebAssistant.
