This page uses Windows Explorer and the FIND function.

Finding WAVE and MIDI files in the system and moving them to the appropriate subfolders in PC HOLD:

Open Windows Explorer:

START > PROGRAMS > Windows Explorer

. . . and open (point/show/move to) the subfolder:

\PCHOLD\MIDI files

then:

START > FIND > Files or Folders

In the "named" box, type

" *.mid "   (asterisk, dot, mid - do not type the quotes)

(make sure the "look in" box has "C:" typed in it)

. . . and click on the

"Find Now" button.

A list of MIDI files on the hard drive (C:)will be shown. Scroll down through the MIDI files to pick out the ones you want for Music-on-Hold. When you find a file you want,

Right-click on the file

Select COPY

Move the mouse pointer to the subfolder in Windows Explorer and while pointing at the line of type: "\PCHOLD\MIDI files"

Right-click and

Select PASTE

This will copy your selected MIDI file to the subfolder "\PCHOLD\MIDI files"

This same procedure is used for copying any Wave (" *.wav ") files in the system to the PC HOLD subfolder: \PCHOLD\Wave Files
