Installation
Just copy the file ntp into /boot/home/apps/hms/ or where You keep third parties Applications. Read this Document entirely and you're ready to use it.

What is Ntp
Ntp is a Network Time Protocol client. It connects your machine to a clock fetches the time on this clock and set the local clock (ie the one in your computer). Since most clocks found on the internet are Atomic clocks they are precise. For more info on the Network Time Protocol please read RFC1305.

Using Ntp
Double click on the application and when the window appears enter the name or IP number of the server you whish to fetch time from, in the server adress field. Then click on the Update button. The application will fetch the Time and update the computer's clock. Or launch it from Terminal and give it the adress of a ntp server has argument.

Known Bugs
The server must not be really far from where you are (because I don't check time leaps and other things from NTP but I will in next version). Network problems are not reported. Some timezone seems to have problems when Using ntp, I'm investigating whether it's a BeOS bug or a feature. Since I'm busy at school it might take some time. The problem is within BeOS, no support for Timezone. I'll be banging Devsupport on how-to acces rtc_info structure. NTP works well with CET zone, otherwise I don't know, If you don't live in CET and if ntp is working please let me know.
