Jim's Mouse Cursors for X11
Here's what's here:
- Introduction
- I made these cursors to complement my definable-mouse-cursor patch for
Window Maker. The cursors are not specific to Window Maker,
though, and can be used with xsetroot with no trouble.
All the cursors are regular X11 bitmaps (XBMs).
Each cursor consists of a cursor bitmap and a mask
bitmap. The mask bitmap determines what portions of the cursor
bitmap are opaque (the '1' bits in the mask bitmap) or transparent
(the '0' bits). You need both bitmaps.
- White Cursors
- Shaped like the some of the default X11 cursors, but white with
black outlines.
- 3D Cursors
- A little bit of shading or highlighting gives these cursors a
bit of a 3D look (remember, this is only done with two colors!).
- 'Dot' Theme Cursors
- I think these are the niftiest cursors i've ever created. :-)
Your opinion may vary.
- Large Cursors
- Larger-than-normal cursors for those who have trouble seeing
16x16 cursors at higher resolutions.
- Various Random Cursors
- I had trouble classifying these.
