Art Crimes: Los Angeles 14

Clowns and jester characters are commonly used in the Los Angeles graffiti art scene. They are used for several reasons: for dissing, as applied by Rich from NASA CREW on a battle piece at the Belmont Tunnel; as a personification of an artist, as employed by Hex from LOD, portraying Chaka, fellow crew member; or for describing a mood, as used by NASA CREW on their piece at Huntington Beach. This collection of graffiti jesters and clowns from Los Angeles is just a taste of the countless other similar images that are being produced constantly there.
