Use sticky notes to keep information or pictures handy.
Jot notes, make a list, or even keep a picture handy. To create a sticky note, choose File > New Note.
- Use sticky notes:
Option | Description |

Create lists: | Press Option-Tab, then type your text. For another item, press
Return once. To end the list, press Return twice.

Format lists: | To change an item's indentation, press Tab or Shift-Tab. To change a
list's formatting, Control-click in the list, then choose List from the
shortcut menu. |
Import and export text: | Choose File > Import Text or File > Export Text. You can use common formats such as plain text, RTF, and RTFD (includes graphics or embedded files). |
Keep a sticky note in front of other windows: | Choose Note > Floating Window. |
See when a sticky note was created or last edited: | Position the pointer over the note until the information
appears. |
- Customize sticky notes:
Option | Description |

Make a sticky note semi transparent: | Choose Note > Translucent Window. |
Change the color of a sticky note: | Choose a color from the Color menu. |
Create a default sticky note template: | From a note whose formatting you like,
choose Note > “Use as Default.” |
